Pre-embedded Sleeve Solution for PC Components
Current Location:首页 > Products > Service Solutions

In the production and manufacturing process of prefabricated construction, every step of prefabricated components—from demolding, turning, on-site transfer, to final hoisting and positioning—depends on a critical component: the pre-embedded sleeve. Though small in size, it carries the full weight of the component, serving as the "lifeline" connecting lifting equipment and prefabricated components. A reliable pre-embedded sleeve solution not only concerns production safety but also directly impacts component turnover efficiency and project quality.

I. Core Value of Pre-Embedded Sleeves: "Dual Assurance" of Safety and Efficiency

The pre-embedded sleeve is a metal anchoring component pre-installed inside the concrete component before pouring, used for connecting lifting devices. Its core value is reflected in two main aspects:

Safe and reliable, bearing the weight of the component's "life." The pre-embedded sleeve is the sole load-bearing point for lifting and transferring prefabricated components. According to the "Technical Standard for Embedded Lifting Anchors in Precast Concrete Components" (T/CCPA 73—2025), the design, selection, installation, lifting operations, and quality inspection of embedded lifting anchors are subject to strict regulatory requirements to ensure the safety and reliability of the lifting process. Mainstream international products require the anchor's tensile safety factor to reach at least 3 times, and the safety factor of the lifting device to reach at least 4 times.

Improving efficiency and accelerating component turnover. The pre-embedded sleeve enables "plug-and-play" operation from demolding to lifting, significantly reducing mold occupation time. Taking large prefabricated columns as an example, traditional pre-embedded sleeve solutions require waiting for the concrete to reach higher strength before lifting, resulting in long mold occupancy and slow turnover; however, the through-rod pre-embedded solution can effectively lower the concrete strength requirements for lifting, significantly improving mold turnover efficiency.

II. Technical System: Mainstream Pre-Embedded Sleeve Product Types

According to different application scenarios and load requirements, pre-embedded sleeves are available in the following main technical approaches:

1. Threaded Pre-Embedded Sleeve

A widely adopted solution for various components such as prefabricated stairs, wall panels, beams, and columns. The inner wall of the sleeve is threaded, allowing rapid connection with lifting devices via connecting bolts. Taking the T-type pre-embedded sleeve as an example, it is pre-embedded in the prefabricated stair in an inverted T configuration, combined with positioning plates and adjustable bolt holes to achieve rapid fixation, effectively ensuring hoisting efficiency.

2. Ball-Type Pre-Embedded Anchor

Suitable for special-shaped prefabricated components such as stairs. The ball-type anchor is manufactured from specially quenched and tempered round steel, offering superior impact resistance. Various anti-corrosion options, such as hot-dip galvanizing, are available upon request. When paired with dedicated swivel lifting devices, it enables demolding lifting, transfer, and installation of prefabricated components such as stairs.

3. Flattened-End Crimped Pre-Embedded Solution

Manufactured using seamless steel tubes, this solution offers a slightly lower cost compared to traditional sleeve solutions. The flattened-end crimped pre-embedded solution generates holding force through threading at the head end and flattening at the tail end, with a transverse bar inserted to reduce the pre-embedment workload during component fabrication. However, this product can only be used for support during installation and shall not be used for lifting or transfer operations.

III. Pre-Embedment Construction and Demolding: Key Technical Points

The construction quality of pre-embedded sleeves directly determines lifting safety. Key control points include:

Precise positioning. Preset positioning holes on the formwork, and secure the sleeves to the formwork via positioning bolts to ensure no displacement occurs during concrete pouring. Modern BIM technology enables millimeter-level positioning of embedded parts, with laser plumb instruments accurately projecting the centers of upper and lower embedded sleeve layers, controlling the positional error of group embedment to within millimeters.

Reliable anchoring. The sleeve must be equipped with sufficient anchor reinforcement (such as double-bar anchoring) to ensure the sleeve forms a reliable integral whole with the concrete, preventing the sleeve from being pulled out during lifting.

Convenient demolding. The demolding process is a critical step in the pre-embedded sleeve solution. A mature approach adopts a "connecting bolt + positioning bolt" structure: the upper part of the connecting bolt connects to the sleeve, while the lower part connects to the positioning bolt. Its tensile strength is designed as the "weak link" of the entire system. During demolding, under external force, the connecting bolt fractures at the preset breaking point. The upper portion remains inside the sleeve and can be removed, while the lower portion separates with the formwork. This design greatly simplifies the demolding process, reduces labor costs, and avoids damage to both the sleeve and the formwork.

IV. Industry Standards and Quality Assurance

The application of pre-embedded sleeves is supported by a well-established standard system. The "Technical Standard for Embedded Lifting Anchors in Precast Concrete Components" (T/CCPA 73—2025), issued and implemented in 2025, systematically summarizes the research findings and engineering practice experience in recent years regarding the application of embedded lifting anchors in precast concrete components in China. It provides technical regulations for materials and product performance, design, installation, lifting, and quality inspection of embedded lifting anchor systems. The review committee recognized the standard as comprehensive, innovative, and operable, and deemed it to have reached the international advanced level.

V. Small Sleeve, Great Value

Although the pre-embedded sleeve for prefabricated components may seem like an inconspicuous small component, it is a crucial guarantee for the safety and efficiency of prefabricated construction production and installation. A scientific and comprehensive pre-embedded sleeve solution should cover the entire chain of services from product selection, precise embedment, convenient demolding, to safe lifting, ensuring that every prefabricated component can complete its "journey" from the factory to the site safely and efficiently.
